Fundraiser to support Women With a Vision (WWAV)

Fundraiser to support Women With a Vision (WWAV)

Saturday, June 30
7pm

Twelve Mile Limit
500 S. Telemachus

This NOLA nonprofit was the victim of a break-in and arson the night of Thursday, May 24.

Women With A Vision advocates for the women who are most at risk: poor women, sex workers, women with substance abuse issues, and transgender women. WWAV's Executive Director Deon Haywood was the Queen of Krewe du Vieux thanks to her efforts to repeal Louisiana's Crimes Against Nature Law.

There is reason to believe that the attack was politically motivated, since the arsonist directly targeted the crucial information, files, and materials needed for WWAV's work. We want to make sure WWAV is able to continue its services for people who have few other resources.

A $5 recommended donation will also include a raffle ticket, and $1 from every drink sold during the event will be donated to the cause. A live DJ will be on hand, and there will also be a silent auction.

Thank you, and please invite your friends.
